COMPANY STRATEGY:
The strategy of Graflex is to design, develop and produce unique high technology proprietary optical and related products to serve specialized commercial and government market requirements. To support this effort with maximum cost effectiveness, the company makes extensive use of outside consultants and specialized subcontractors on an as required basis. Graflex is able to develop very sophisticated products within relatively short time frames with very cost effective use of capital resources. The company has the expertise to customize optical designs and mechanical configurations and frequently does so to meet specific customer requirements.

FACILITY/TEST EQUIPMENT:
In June 2006 we moved into a brand new 16000 FT2 ideally suited for precision optical, electronic, and mechanical assembly, calibration, and testing. Further, the facility includes an 8000 FT2 very capable machining section.

In addition to a optical clean room, electronic and optical test laboratories, Graflex has considerable in-house specialized optical related equipment:

  • Computerized MTF Test Software - for lenses/sensor packages.
  • Gaertner Optical Benches - for testing of short to medium focal length lenses with apertures to 5.0" diameter.
  • Davidson Optical Bench - for testing of medium to long focal length lenses with apertures to 16" diameter.
  • Optoliner - for precise resolution testing of TV cameras.
  • Custom Optical Benches – for testing and calibrating very specific optical device
  • Nikon Autocollimator
  • Nitrogen Purging Bench
